Privacy Policy – DairyMitra

This policy explains how Mitra Apps ("we") handles data in the DairyMitra – Dairy Management app and its admin website. Questions: [email protected].

1. Data we collect

• Account: your name, mobile number, dairy name and city. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash; your 4-digit MPIN never leaves your phone.
• Business records you enter: customers, farmers, routes, items and rates, milk collections, sales, bills, payments, staff and day-close reports. Customer and farmer records may include names, phone numbers, addresses, UPI IDs and bank details that you choose to enter.
• House location (optional): only when you tap "Save location" for a customer, the app reads your phone's location once and stores it with that customer to help with delivery. The app does not track your location in the background.
• Device and usage: a random device identifier (to keep your login on that phone and number your bills), app version, sync times and server logs (such as IP address and errors) needed to run and secure the service.
• Subscription payments: plan purchases and payment references (such as UPI transaction IDs). If you pay through Razorpay, card or bank details are handled by Razorpay, not stored by us.

2. How we use it

• To run the app: save and sync your records across your phones and staff, calculate rates and bills, and show reports.
• To manage your account, plan and payments, and to give support when you contact us.
• To keep the service secure and working (fraud prevention, fixing errors, usage limits).

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your business records for marketing.

3. Where data is stored

Your records are saved on your phone and on our servers hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers and D1 databases). Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Each dairy's data is kept separate and is visible only to that dairy's owner and the staff they add.

4. Sharing

• Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting) and, if you use it, Razorpay (payments) process data on our behalf.
• You choose to share: when you send a bill or reminder on WhatsApp, the app opens WhatsApp with the message; WhatsApp's own policy applies.
• Law: we may disclose data if required by Indian law or a valid legal request.

5. Your choices and rights

• You can view, edit and delete your records in the app at any time.
• You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it by writing to [email protected].
• You can delete your account and data: see Delete your account.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. After you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and your dairy's records within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example, payment invoices), which are kept only as long as required.

7. Children

DairyMitra is a business app for adults and is not meant for children under 18.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
